The rear of the house has a covered terrace at sitting room level and a courtyard garden at kitchen door level. Wisteria and Albertine roses cover the courtyard pergola which has been built from oak trees salvaged from the copse at the bottom of the garden.
The back of the house has views down the garden to the Dordogne River which flows along one boundary, the header on this site is a picture of an unknown man fishing in the Dordogne on a glorious day
